Looking towards a society where information rights and responsibilities are respected by all.

To develop ICO’s presence within Northern Ireland by engaging with stakeholders and by fostering their awareness of the relevant Acts.
To respond to all relevant enquiries.
To undertake freedom of information and Environmental Information Regulations casework relating to public authorities based within Northern Ireland and Great Britain.
To identify and input to regional policy issues and to contribute to the formulation of guidance.
To target services according to identified local sensitivities and needs, and to foster understanding of these within the wider ICO.
To assist in implementation of ICO’s statutory equality duties.
