      <title>Senior FOI Policy Manager (Ref: SPM)</title>
      <description>The salary for this vacancy upon appointment is £35,114 (progressing to £47,507) plus excellent benefits. You will have responsibility for reviewing, checking and signing formal Decision Notices made under the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) and the Environmental Information Regulations. This will require the understanding and application of complex legislation and involvement in the resolution of high profile cases. You will also support the work of FOI Complaints teams through the development of policy lines on the interpretation and application of legislation. You must have a degree or equivalent qualification or substantial work experience demonstrating graduate level ability. You must also have experience of applying complex legislation, experience of writing or developing policies, and excellent communication skills. This is a pressurised role and so your ability to manage large workloads and lead colleagues will be essential. The closing date for this vacancy is 5.00pm, Monday 11 August 2008. Interviews will be held on Wednesday, 10 September 2008.</description>
