Until August 2010 the Policy Committee managed the ICO's data protection and freedom of information policy activities and settled policy lines for particular issues.
The Committee met on alternate months and reports reported back to the Executive Team. Following a reorganisation of the ICO, and review of Corporate Governance, the Information Rights Committee became the ICO’s main policy-facing committee.
